Last summer, we celebrated our babymoon on the beaches of Sint Maarten. It was pretty much the most glorious vacation EVER. Sadly, I think this summer is going to contain much less sun, sand and sea. Unless I get crazy on Expedia… because that’s been known to happen.
After reading Erin’s post over at Living In Yellow, I was inspired to compile my own summer bucket list. Summer 2014 may not include fresh passion fruit daiquiris from a school bus, but I think there are a few things I can do to make sure this year will not be forgotten.
Next year, Karakter. Next year.
So, without further adieu, ladies and gentlemen I present to you my Summer 2014 Bucket List. Holla.

+ Spend more days at the baby pool than not.
+ Attend an Indianapolis Indians game.
+ Spend approximately every weekend at my parents’ pond soaking up the rays.
+ Attend a wedding SO RAD that we’ll talk about for the rest of our lives.
+ Find a friend with a boat, and drink cheap beer on a lake until the sun goes down.
+ Wear less makeup, and more sunscreen.
+ Take Dorothy to her first Fourth of July fireworks show – and hope she doesn’t scream.
+ Host an old school cookout on our back patio, complete with hot dogs, s’mores and vino. What? Wine isn’t old school?
+ Wear more sequins in one day than I have in my whole life combined. 😉
+ Perfect the art of making Moscow Mules for my husband.
+ Have a stay-cation.
+ Dye my hair blonde (okay, maybe not that blonde, but something new to keep me from cutting it off).
+ Put some miles on the jogging stroller.
+ Make an IKEA trip (or two) with my besties.
+ Get Toby Keith tickets, and take to the Lawn like the rednecks we really are.
+ Learn to use the lawnmower (if only to get an hour to myself each week).
+ Make pedicures a priority.
+ Savor every moment with my daughter – she’s getting big way too fast. If October never comes this year, that would be fine by me.
