I have done a lot of posting about my pregnancy recently, and not a lot about what I’m doing in my real life. You know, outside of growing a human from scratch. Today let’s do a short little “Currently” post to catch up, shall we?
Outside of my “day job” as a SAHM, I also coach two high school color guards. I do it for fun, mostly, and it has proven to be a great outlet for me. I get out of the house a few nights a week, and I get to work on something I’m passionate about with people above age two. Win, win.
One of my programs is less than three weeks away from its first contest of the season, which means I’m spending a ridiculous amount of time dancing around with a 6 ft. flag in my hand. Most nights I can either be found running practice at the school, or in my parents’ barn amongst the tractors writing new choreography, or browsing every thrift store in Montgomery County looking for props.
Did I mention I’m 21 weeks pregnant? Baby C2 does NOT like to jazz run, FYI.
I am literally 23 pages in to “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up,” by Marie Kondo, and I have already donated/sold five trash bags full of clothes from my closet.
I’ve also washed, dried, folded and put away approximately 20 loads of laundry in the last week. So, I would say that I probably have another five trash bags to go.
I took Dorothy to her third Disney on Ice show in Indianapolis last week, with our besties Kristin and Brynzlee. D rocked her Lightning McQueen jacket amongst all the Elsa’s, and actually sat through the whole show with a giant bucket of popcorn.
Disney is magic, people.
We followed the show with a lunch at Scotty’s Brewhouse, some shopping for Baby C2 (I can’t help it, I have a problem) and dance class. In case you were wondering, that’s way, WAY too much excitement and not enough nap time for a two-year-old.
I know this isn’t supposed to be about my pregnancy, but I’m kind of having a baby in four months. And if you know me at all, I like to plan… a lot.
So, right now, I’m planning updates to the nursery (which I’m sure I’ll detail later). I’m planning our schedules… for May/June (having a baby during graduation season, dance recital season, wedding season and spring planting may be a bit busy). I’m planning an Amazon baby registry solely for the completion discount.
I’m just one big list-making machine right now.
… nesting. I’m definitely nesting. Happy Monday, people!
