Vtech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker: As you could see from my 9 month post, Dorothy is well on her way to walking. I purchased the Vtech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker for two simple reasons – I needed something for her to pull up on, and I had heard great things about Vtech.
This walker has exceeded my expectations. While Dorothy doesn’t really use the “walker” portion quite yet, she adores the activities on the front. This is highly unusual, because my kid doesn’t play with toys. The lights, songs and buttons entertain her for a good amount of time, and thankfully the walker features a volume switch (a rarity, I’m finding). I see this walker growing with Dorothy as she gets to that next scary stage of mobility!
Baby Banana Bendable Training Toothbrush: It’s exactly what the name says. A chewy banana with bristles. Part toothbrush, part teether. I love anything dual purpose. 🙂
Also, I love singing this song to Dorothy every time I brush her teeth.
Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster: My parents bought this booster for when Dorothy visits. It’s super lightweight and straps right on to their bar stools. After hauling our everyday high chair to our other babysitters, I’m seriously contemplating buying one of these bad boys to just live in my car.
Cheerios: We should buy stock in Cheerios. The end.
Neat Solutions Table Topper: Most restaurants are disgusting. Have you ever got up close and personal with the table? My kid has. Gag.
These disposable place mats have kind of been a lifesaver. They are just thin plastic with sticky edges that adhere directly to a tabletop (of course, ours are Minnie Mouse themed). Dot can eat her cheerios off the table to her heart’s content, and I’m not having a germaphobic episode. At first I balked at the price ($8 for place mats!?), but since we don’t take Dorothy out to restaurants very often we’re still on our first pack. Definitely worth it in the long run.
Boogie Wipes: Did I mention my kid had a sinus infection last week?
My friends Michelle and Sheila introduced me to these wipes. They’re just saline, which makes them super gentle on little baby noses. And they handle snot like a champ.
I buy the jumbo size on the reg.
PATRULL Bathtub Mat: I wasn’t impressed with the bath mat selection at IKEA (the crocodile is a little boyish for me), but as an IKEA Family Member I couldn’t pass up the $4 price tag. Actually, I can’t pass up anything at IKEA. It’s a problem.
Anyway, now that I clean my bathrooms every 3 seconds, this little guy is growing on me. He works well, and I like to think that he’s guarding Dot’s bath toys. Hopefully he makes potential home buyers smile as well. 🙂
