I had such high expectations for this Fix, since my last Stitch Fix box trumped all other boxes before it. I gave a glowing review of my box, and very easy-to-follow feedback. I asked specifically for flowy maxi skirts and patterned/textured shorts in my next box, and I was confident that Stitch Fix would pull through for me.
I was wrong.
My stylist wrote that, “Unfortunately we don’t have any shorts or silky maxis in stock.” Not in stock?! You’re telling me that in Stitch Fix’s gigantic San Francisco warehouse there are no shorts or silky maxi skirts?
It must be full of tab sleeve blouses and the dolman shirt I’ve received three times.
This Fix was definitely a disappointment, but I did keep one item. Check out my Fix No. 10 below!
Fun2Fun Cassanova Chevron Crochet Button Up Tank
My daughter would destroy this top in a matter of minutes. Seriously – does lacy, dainty and WHITE scream SAHM of a 9 month old? I didn’t think so.
My non-momma side actually does like this tank. It has a certain bohemian quality that I’m really in to right now. However, logic will always beat feeling pretty for approximately .35 seconds before Dorothy spits peas at me or something…
Tart Daryn Solid Jersey Knit Top
What? Did Stitch Fix really send me a pink tshirt? A plain shirt that cost $68?
Why yes, yes they did.
I need durable clothing, yes, but I subscribe to Stitch Fix to receive pieces that I can’t find anywhere else. I expect to get unique clothing that other people aren’t necessarily going to have. I don’t need a plain tshirt that I can get from Target for a fraction of the cost. I need a machine washable top that makes a statement.
I believe this might be the biggest fail in my Stitch Fix journey.
Loveappella Liz Abstract Tropical Print Maxi Skirt
This maxi, while I kind of like the print, is made for someone who has a good 12 inches on me.
It was quite apparent that I couldn’t wear it as a skirt, so I tried for a empire waist. It was still too long, so I went for the dress look.
Obviously, this skirt is in the mailbox right now.
I’m just not a big earring person. I have two holes in my ears, and I wear my diamond studs in the top hole every day, but I rarely wear earrings otherwise. No reason why… other than I have nowhere fancy to go.
I love these neon earrings, but I would wear them approximately once. Plus, I have some similar to this that I’ve never put on. I’m better off saving my money.
Sanctuary Tony Cotton Cargo Skinny Pant – KEEP!
Did you catch that? These are Tony Cotton pants. My father-in-law is speaking to me from the other side, and apparently he is telling me that the cargo pant is back.
I’m unsure about these skinnys, but I also think they may be an excellent staple piece come fall. What do you think?
Okay, Stitch Fix. I guess I forgive you for this pretty awful Fix. Make it up to me on box 11, please.
