YAY! My Stitch Fix hiatus is over!
I’m three weeks postpartum, and I’m definitely in this weird in-between stage when it comes to clothes. My c-section incision is not totally healed, so I need to avoid tight waistbands. And while I’m down 17 lbs. from delivery day, I’m still a good 9 lbs. away from my pre-pregnancy weight – with three more weeks before I can get back on a spin bike.
In a nutshell, I’m somewhere between my old clothes and maternity clothes… meaning nothing currently fits. Stitch Fix to the rescue!
For this Fix, I specifically asked for postpartum-friendly pieces. I wanted blousy tanks, casual dresses and a pair of Toms sandals. Let’s see what I ended up with, shall we?

Gilli Mitchel Jersey Maxi Dress – Medium – $78
This was the first item I put on from my box, and my husband nearly fell out of his chair. I don’t know if it’s because he hasn’t seen me with makeup on in awhile, or if this dress really looks that good on me, but I’ll take it.
I was nervous that a size medium was going to be too long on me (I’m 5’4″), but this dress fits perfectly. I ADORE the back, and love even more that I can wear a normal bra. Pretty sure buying this means I need a date to a beach bar (or just a date night in general) STAT.
Wrap it up, Stitch Fix. Daddy likes. 😉
Verdict: Keep!
Color: Navy
My Pairings:
Arrow Necklace | Stella & Dot
Birthstone Rings | Chloe + Isabel (I wear Opal for Dorothy, and Pearl for Frances)
Loveappella Muscari Crochet Detail Knit Top – Medium – $48
I’m on the fence about this tank. I asked for flowy, casual tops and that’s exactly what this is… so I’m not sure why I’m not thrilled. I’m sure I would wear this Loveappella tank all the time, but it’s just kind of… boring?
I don’t know. What do you think?
Verdict: TBD
Color: Coral
My Pairings:
Necklace | Stitch Fix
Leggings | Gap
Renee C Naveen Dress – Medium – $64
I think if this dress is was in any different pattern, I would keep it. I’m just not digging the throwback to 1970 here.
But, the shape of this dress is what I was looking for – a nice fitting sheath that will hide my postpartum belly for the summer. I’ll definitely ask for another version of this dress next month!
Verdict: Return
Color: Green
Le Lis Parsons Lace Back Tank – Medium – $38
Eh… I think this tank is a little too big. I appreciate Stitch Fix sizing me up this month, but I think I could do a small in this top pretty easily. The lace back is super pretty, and the color is perfect for a little Fourth of July party (especially with my red NON-MATERNITY pants!), but I can’t get past how big it feels.
Verdict: Return
Color: Blue
My Pairings:
Necklace | Charming Charlie’s
Pants | Stitch Fix
BC Footwear Society D’Orsay Flats – Size 7 – $60
I asked specifically for a pair of Toms sandals or flats, but Stitch Fix is out of my size. Boo. These shoes are cute, but they’re not really what I’m looking for. I need a more casual shoe for summer, even as much as I like the pop of gold!
Verdict: Return
Color: Gold

Stylist Jessica delivered. Almost exactly what I was looking for, and nothing to was too small (my current biggest annoyance). Tell me, what do you think of my selections?

I love the first dress on you! The Loveappella top is just meh. There’s nothing really special about it.

I actually like the Naveen Dress! add a tan belt in there for some dimension – ta-da! But really love the first dress – and from the photo it looks like it fits you awesome!

Absolutely love the navy dress. And yes, it looks amazing on you.

I love the dress and the pink top! I’m not sure it’s necessarily worth almost $50, but the color looks great on you!
