Obviously I have been counting down this pregnancy since… oh, I don’t know… the beginning. But today is a milestone worthy enough for a short little blog post.
I’m due to have a baby exactly one month from today.
It dawned on me yesterday that as unprepared as I am for Baby C’s birth, most everyone around me is only just now jumping on the reality boat. First started with a call with my mother:
“Baby C is going to be here really soon. I have been thinking about that a lot lately. This is going to be life-changing.”
No kidding, Mom. 🙂
Then I realized, even Courtny hasn’t quite grasp the enormity of this upcoming stage in our lives. I mean, I get to feel our daughter move, kick and hiccup every single day. To me, she is very, VERY real.
To him, I could just be getting fatter, whinier and lazier.
Regardless, we have made it to the final month. Now we just have to hope and pray she stays on schedule, and doesn’t ruin all of mommy’s plans (ha. haha. right…). And, per usual, my mom is right. Life is about to change big time.
Ready or not, she’s coming!
Hey girl! I know what you mean! My fiance doesn’t exactly have the best grasp that our son is coming in 7 weeks and everyone is telling me that this is going to be a huge change in our lives, especially since our son has spina bifida. Whether we’re ready or not, he’s gonna come when he feels like it! I know you’ll be a great mom!! So excited for you!!!!
