My Fix – No. 5

In any good relationship, it takes time to get to know each other. You have to figure out the other person’s quirks. You have to learn that he is incapable of folding laundry, or that she can’t cook anything more difficult than spaghetti. You have to find out how you work together. You know, feel each other out.

Out. Not up. Sickos.

Anyway, my relationship with Stitch Fix has officially stepped up to the next level.

Stitch Fix gets me.

Obviously relationships aren’t all sunshine and rainbows, so I’m not going to say my February Fix was perfect. But it was pretty good. And that, my friends, is potentially boyfriend material.

Don’t take my word for it, though. My last boyfriend, before my husband, was nearly 10 years ago.

Without further adieu, meet my beau February Fix.

Pomelo Bixby Dot Print 3/4 Tab Sleeve Blouse

This was on top of the pile when I opened my box, and I immediately was in love. I’m such a sucker for mint right now – probably because of my bestie’s upcoming wedding that will be dripping in minty goodness. Unfortunately, this shirt was just too big and I couldn’t make it work. It’s probably a good thing, because the blouse is really similar to the swan shirt I purchased in a previous Fix.

And I’m pretty sure 90% of my closet is either blue or green. Time to branch out, Cotten.

 

Pomelo Downing Striped Knit Shirt

Just… ew. Consider this shirt a bump in the road with Mr. Fix. It was weird, scratchy, and generally box-like. It just seemed like something you would wear to do housework, or landscaping… not worth a fraction of the $48 price tag. I even tried to dress it up like the suggestion card, but it still failed miserably in my book.

 

Chris & Carol Evann Solid Maxi Skirt

If you know me, you know I love a good maxi skirt. In fact, I pretty much lived in maxi dresses throughout my entire pregnancy. Here’s the deal though: I can buy a plain black maxi skirt at Target for $20. This skirt? $58. Absolutely not going to happen.

 

Kensie Jeans Sophia Distressed Skinny Jean

The next two items were neck-in-neck in the race to live in my closet. Like, so much so that I had to send these photos to my girls to help me decide.

The jeans lost. Even though I LOVED them, and may have shed a tear on my way to the mailbox to return them, I just couldn’t keep both.

But can we talk about how I fit into these skinny jeans?! Woot.

 

Pomelo Ivy Tulip Print Tab Sleeve Blouse – KEEP!

I have a small obsession with coral. But doesn’t this just SCREAM spring?! As we’re currently surviving the world’s longest winter, I just needed something that reminds me of sunshine and flowers.

Yes, this is similar to other shirts that I’ve purchased. My name is Samantha, and I may have a problem.

So the feedback I gave after this box was focused on variety. I need something more than the silky, 3/4 sleeved blouses Stitch Fix keeps sending (and I keep buying). I also changed up my profile so that hopefully my next box will have some fun items that are Vegas-worthy for the awesome trip we’re taking in May. Stay tuned!
