one | b&w
I’m kind of obsessed with all things black and white for baby right now, including this flashback b&w photo of my first babe. Look at that little wrinkly hand!
Like, Pottery Barn Kids just released their new Emily & Meritt collection, and it’s 100 percent swoon-worthy. Almost enough to make me paint the nursery for a third time. Almost.
And, have you seen these Milk Snob car seat/nursing covers? I purchased the Signature B&W Stripe cover for my bestie Amanda’s shower… and then proceeded to buy myself one in Cream & Gray Stripe to match my navy car seat.
And you all know my love of Freshly Picked. Then they released these sweet little Legend moccs.
Oh, and then I discovered Modern Burlap this morning (thanks to Tawnya from All of Life’s Little Adventures), and Baby C2 absolutely must have this Modern Mouse muslin swaddle blanket.
And probably the Heart print, too. #spoiled
two | shoppin’
Speaking of my shopping addiction, it’s pretty certain that I passed along that gene to my daughter. All I had to say was, “Dorothy, let’s go shoppin’!” this morning, and the kid was pulling her boots on.
I’m guessing she associates “shoppin'” with Starbucks and french fries, but whatever. Still adorable.
I mean, we only went to Kroger and the local thrift mission, but she was pretty excited. Normally it’s a struggle to get her out of the house (unless, of course, we’re headed to school to see Miss. Shannon. Then she can’t get in the car fast enough). But today, it was “Momma! We shoppin’!” about a hundred times in the 20 minute trip.
Melt. My. Heart.
three | mommas
I had so many positive responses to this week’s post about embracing my life as a SAHM. I like being open and honest and real on this blog, but sometimes it’s scary to put myself out there like that for the whole Internet. Especially when I’m talking about postpartum depression and mourning over my clothes, because sometimes I think I sound legit crazy.
So, thank you for all being awesome.
four | rugs
Mr. Cotten and I have gone back and forth on putting carpet in our house. We went as far as having our three smaller bedrooms measured and quoted, but for some reason we just can’t pull the trigger.
So, I’m on the hunt for a large rug for the nursery.
Where is your favorite place to buy rugs, on the cheap? Like $200-range cheap? Help a momma out, please.

And, I’m out. I’m off to a date with the hair salon and a high school basketball game. What plans do you have for this fine Friday night?
Happy weekend, all!
