I learned that an extensive federal background check is needed in order to be issued a library card here in the Ville.
Okay, I’m being dramatic. But apparently not having the correct address on your driver’s license is totally suspicious… even after repeating numerous times that, “I JUST MOVED HERE.” Perhaps the older gentleman at the circulation desk thought I was applying for a credit card or passport, not a freaking library card so I can read Curious George to my one-year old.
Jeez.

Watching my daughter play with other kids makes me feel proud and heartbroken at the same time. Another mommy at the library this morning said, “You can’t be her only friend, but you’ll always be her best friend.”
This mom stuff isn’t easy. Insert tears.

When you see Santa Claus walking down the street and he asks to take a photo with you, you take a selfie.
Then you creep yourself out later wondering who the hell is inside that Santa suit that randomly wanted to take a photo with you and your sister.

There are still two days left to enter the Crazy Awesome Stocking Stuffer Giveaway. That’s not new information, obviously, but it did occur to me that some of you may not be familiar with a Rafflecopter giveaway. Here’s the deal:
– Log in through the widget using your Facebook account.
– Each mode of entry will appear as a button. One you leave me a blog post comment, click that button to receive three entries. Visit the Ardent Owl Photography Facebook page (and “like” it if you’re feeling generous!), then click the button, and get another entry.
– Enter up to 11 times. Or enter once. Whatever floats your boat.
It’s that easy. Pretty awesome, right?
Be sure to check out my Facebook page and Instagram on Monday to see if you’re a big winner!
