Who doesn’t love a good costume party?
Well, me, if we’re being honest. I hate costume parties.
Last Friday we attended our second Black Hat Bash at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. It takes a lot for me to wear a costume, but TCM usually can make it happen. The things I’ll do for Sun King and Blondie’s Cookies…
I present to you, the Cotten family costume. Straight from the kingdom of Corona. I definitely had to look that up.
Rapunzel.
Flynn Rider.
Mother Gothel.
Pascal.
But seriously. Isn’t Francie the cutest little chameleon you ever did see?
We met up with our besties, the Roe’s. And their costume of “Lions, Tigers, Bears… Oh My!” might be my favorite idea ever.
We ate. We ate some more. We toured the #HauntedTCM Cursed Castle during lights on hours, and only barely survived (seriously, it was hot in there). And we closed down the Doc McStuffins exhibit, because that’s what you do on a wild and crazy Friday night with two three-year-olds and two babies.
As usual, we had a blast. Now, the next day after having Dorothy up until 11 p.m. was a different story… but #WorthIt.

Also, TCM is strangely tied to us buying houses. The last time we were negotiating to purchase a house, we were playing warrior at the Terra Cotta Warriors: After Dark party. Last Friday, we were buying a house while dressed as Disney characters. We’re adults. I swear.

Love the family costumes. Dorothy and Frances should have been declared best in show. Or something.
