How far along? 39 weeks.
Total weight gain? Get this! I actually lost weight this week. Two whole pounds! This brings my weight gain DOWN to 34.5 lbs. Who loses weight at 39 weeks pregnant?! I didn’t even know that was possible.
Maternity clothes? You know it’s over when you put on a maternity dress to wear, and it doesn’t fit. Who can’t fit into maternity clothes?! Of course, that would be me. That’s why I’m stuck in Courtny’s Tribe t-shirts. :/
Stretch marks? Oh yeah.
Sleep? Guess who developed heartburn that radiates through her whole body this week? That’s me again! After last weekend’s wedding, Courtny and I shared a hotel room with two other couples. It’s really awkward to be sitting up in bed from 3:30-6 a.m., poppin’ Tums, and just watching your friends sleep…
Best moment this week: Last week I got to go to my alma mater to watch my baby sister play on her Senior Night. I was feeling incredibly old (and huge, but that’s beside the point), but oh-so proud of her. Seriously, she had major knee surgery like four months ago, and she’s already rocking the volleyball court. I can’t wait to take Baby C to watch her play some Lady Mountie Basketball!
Miss anything? I indulged in a glass of red wine at the wedding reception. It took me HOURS to finish it, but it was totally worth it. Do you think the labor & delivery floor will let me bring my own beverages? (I’m totally kidding, btw…. kind of.)
Movement: She pretty much just stretches and rolls at this point. Every once in awhile I get a kick that takes my breath away.
Food cravings: I think the food cravings may have subsided. Nothing is standing out right now!
Anything make you queasy or sick? Random nausea has started this week, but nothing triggers it specifically.
Labor signs?: This week I was still 1 centimeter dilated, however I’m now 80% effaced (which seemed to shock the doctor). Ever since then I’ve been having some contractions and cramps, but of course they always go away (since I’m still freaking pregnant). I’m doing everything I can to speed up this process, including walking chasing an adorable puppy named Gus while my husband played disc golf this week.
And, I don’t care if it’s a total myth, but tomorrow is a full moon. Help me out, here!
Symptoms: Update on the feet: I’m going to kiss the doctor who prescribed the Magic (PUPPS) Creme. Seriously, she’s my hero. My feet still look pretty gnarly, but at least they don’t itch anymore.
Belly button in or out? Out
Wedding rings on or off? I gave up. Wedding rings are staying on.
Happy or moody? Happy. I think it’s because I know I can only be pregnant for a max of two more weeks! After that, the doctors will put me under for a c-section and I’ll get to have Baby C in my sleep…. which is starting to sound like a nice option… kidding, kidding.
Looking forward to: Friday (tomorrow) is my last day at work before maternity leave. I love my co-workers, but I am sooooo ready for this. Unless, of course, Baby C decides to come tonight (hint, hint)…
Official countdown: 1 week 0 days. Or 7 days…. DAYS. Holy crap.
