Here we are again! Another Friday. Another 5.
Linking up with Amy, Karli and April, per usual.

one | kiddie pool
Can anyone not be happy with this crazy amazing weather we’ve been having? My sister, Grace, and I decided to take full advantage of the sunshine and heat this week by busting out the kiddie pool for Dorothy.
Since last year’s baby pool has become the cat’s designated litter box (long story), I purchased this giant pool last Halloween at Target for under $10. Money well spent, in my opinion, since Dorothy spent more time playing in the pool than she has with any other toy she owns.
Fun Aunt Grace probably helped.
Also, even though the air temperature was in the upper 80’s, the water temperature was closer to freezing. My sister is a trooper.
two | popsicles
I made a batch of these Jell-O popsicles I found on Pinterest from Poofy Cheeks. The beauty of this recipe is that when Jell-O melts… it kind of stays Jell-O. Therefore, less drips and less mess.
Don’t get too excited… there is still some mess. Just considerably less mess.
Jell-O Popsicles (from Poofy Cheeks)
Ingredients
– (1) 3 oz. package of Jell-O
– 4 cups water
– 1/3 cup sugar (optional)
Note: I did not add the sugar, and it was fine.
Directions
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. In a medium bowl mix sugar and Jell-O powder. Stir in boiling water, stirring constantly until Jell-O and sugar are completely dissolved (about 2 minutes).
three | cones
A certain baby may have gotten her first ice cream cone this week.
The same baby may have also thrown a massive fit at the neighboring park when we wouldn’t let her run in the road, meaning mommy had to eat the rest of her cone while dad wrangled her into her car seat.
We were just trying to do something fun, kid, but apparently you can’t handle our kind of fun. 😉
four | jeep
My husband has pretty much always owned a Jeep. He loves his Jeep…
…and so does our daughter apparently. Daddy’s girl, right there.
I, on the other hand, am not a fan. I prefer my hair to stay untangled and my stomach to stay where it belongs. I’m a no-fun, I know.
five | tgif
It’s finally Friday, and that also makes me happy. So many things to look forward to this month, including some HobNob action with my bestie, a Chi-town bachelorette party, and attending only the 99th running of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.
Oh, and the husband’s and my SEVENTH wedding anniversary is coming up. Maybe I’ll decided to keep him around another year…
Happy Friday, all!
