Today is my beautiful mother’s birthday. 29 again, of course.
I screwed myself for all future birthdays last year by giving her perhaps the greatest birthday gift of all time.
Blondie’s Cookies from Baby C
I won’t share her reaction with the interwebs, but let’s just say it was absolutely priceless (and included some foul language). Sorry, Mom. No baby this year.
I’m still learning to be a mother, but it’s pretty obvious that I pull inspiration from my own mom. I was lucky to have an awesome childhood, and that’s mostly because my mother was always there for my sisters and me.
But don’t take my word for it. In spirit of Throwback Thursday, let’s explore the fabulousity that is my momma. 🙂
She let us ride the dog. That’s pretty cool.
Clearly, we all inherited her good looks. Thanks Mom.
She dressed me as Bo Peep, and Grace and my sheep. I’m obviously the favorite.
She tops the tower of Shelton girls who happened to be hiking in the Costa Rican rainforest. Excuse the quality of this photo, and the Winnie the Pooh hat I’m wearing.
She’s pretty fun. I mean, we jumped into the pond during family pictures. And, check out the twinsie action happening. Unplanned!
She’s an awesome grandma. Seriously, she doesn’t even look like a grandma!
I could go on and on. Point is, my mom rocks. If you see her, you should probably wish her a happy birthday. 🙂
Thanks for being awesome, Mom. I love you. Happy birthday!
We were on our way to a winery here. Twinsies again! 😉
