How far along? Normally these posts are very easy for me. Today, writing 38 weeks – in reference to MY pregnancy – is scaring the living crap out of me.
Total weight gain? 36.5 lbs. Another thing that is terrifying? The scale. And my husband commenting that I weigh as much as Cody. That’s just not very nice.
Maternity clothes? Obviously. I’ve learned that maternity dresses that are appropriate for an evening wedding in October don’t exist… queue my current dilemma.
Stretch marks? That’s ok, Baby C. I never planned on wearing a swimsuit again anyway.
Sleep? Not happening.
Best moment this week: This really hasn’t been a good week. I’ll explain more, but when the best moment of your week involves being couch-ridden with your sick husband and watching football for 12 hours straight… that’s pretty bad. At least we have each other. 🙂
Miss anything? Now this is just getting annoying.
Movement: She’s working on punching her way out.
Food cravings: I dominated last week’s doughnuts, as promised. I also helped polish off a pumpkin full of Halloween candy.
Anything make you queasy or sick? Nope
Labor signs?: As of Tuesday, I was officially 1 whole centimeter dilated. Only 9 more to go! Ha.
Symptoms: Since you asked… I spent Friday afternoon at the doctor’s office because the itchy rash on my feet has become unbearable. Their answer? Hydrocortisone cream. Guess what I had already tried, and knew wouldn’t work? Hydrocortisone cream. I cried the whole way home, but I gave it a chance. This kind was prescription strength, so maybe that would make a difference.
After a full weekend of Zyrtec, hydrocortisone cream, Benadryl cream, ice packs and oatmeal baths… I learned I was right. It didn’t work at all.
At Tuesday’s appointment, I was given another type of cream for PUPPs (or pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy) treatment. Don’t Google it – just trust me on that. I think it’s starting to help a little…the only problem is that my feet look like they have been mauled by a bear. Another great dilemma for this weekend’s attire…
Anyway, it sucks. I don’t wish this on my worst enemy.
Belly button in or out? Out
Wedding rings on or off? Windex failed. Wedding ring is still on.
Happy or moody? What do you think?
Looking forward to: Having Friday off work (yes, I’m still working), getting a manicure (which should be a pedicure), and all of the wedding activities this weekend!
